Thomas R. Loebig

was named chief content officer of the American Philatelic Society. With members in more than 110 countries, the APS is the largest, non-profit organization for stamp collectors in the world. Founded in 1886, the APS serves collectors, educators, postal historians and the general public by providing a wide variety of programs and services. Loebig will lead the organization's present content initiatives and set the strategy for future growth.

Bruce Wood

gave up his role as the beat writer covering Dartmouth College sports for the local daily to begin a paid subscription website that has offered daily coverage of the Ivy League school's football team since 2005. He's the senior writer for the Dartmouth publication Peak Quarterly and fills in the rest of the year freelancing. His son Matt graduated who from Penn State with a geography degree in 2016 and daughter Kelly graduated from Dartmouth. He and his wife live on a dirt road on the side of Moose Mountain in the rural village of Etna, part of Hanover, N.H.

Chuck Gloman

is an associate professor and the chair of the TV/film department at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. His recent film, "Lester's Collection," was awarded as Best Film from the Lehigh Valley at the eighth annual Movies at the Mill International Film Festival in Easton, Pennsylvania.

Joyce Venezia Suss

has been named editor of the new website BergenCounty.com, a division of North Jersey Media Group. She and her family live in Ridgewood, N.J.

Elizabeth Fetter

has been named chief executive officer at Symmetricom Inc., a worldwide leader in precision time and frequency technologies. Fetter, who had served as a Symmetricom board member since 2002, served as president and CEO of several private technology start-up companies over the last few years. Before that, she was president, CEO and a director of QRS Corporation, a public retail software and services company that she returned to profitability, and for which she subsequently led the sale to Inovis Inc.

Dave Blazek

has won a prestigious Reuben Award for Best Newspaper Panel Cartoon in America from the National Cartoonists Society. Blazek’s work was honored for his cartoon, Loose Parts, which is syndicated nationally to newspapers by the The Washington Post. The Reuben Award is the Oscar of cartooning and Blazek’s work was recognized by 500 of the world’s best cartoonists, illustrators, graphic novelists and Hollywood animators. Rick Weber

contributed to his fourth Chicken Soup for the Soul book, "The Power of Yes!" Weber, who previously wrote an inspirational biography, "Pink Lips and Fingertips," is a writer for Gartner, the world's leading research and advisory company, and is based in Fort Myers, Florida.

Tim Herrera

recently published two nonfiction books to help people finetune their communication skills. They are "Media Training: A Guide to Giving Great Interviews" and "Public Speaking: Simple Steps to Improve Your Skills." Herrera currently serves as communications director for the Sacramento County Office of Education in Sacramento, California.

Dave Blazek

has a new book out. "Magnificent Stupidity" contains 220 of the best Loose Parts cartoons from the past three years.

This is Blazek’s eighth cartoon compilation from over 20 years of cartooning. Loose Parts is the award-winning comic syndicated by the Washington Post to newspapers across America.

Blazek and his daily comic are two-time winners of the coveted National Cartoonists Society Reuben Award for America’s Best Newspaper Panel Cartoon. He’s been nominated for that award six times.
